Vytran was founded in 1989 to develop and manufacture new technologies for optical fiber fusion splicing. Today, we are a leader in reliable, precision equipment for splicing, assembly and glass processing in custom fabrication and high-volume manufacture applications.
Vytran is headquartered in Morganville, New Jersey, and has European customer support centers in Exeter, UK, and Birkerod, DK. The company is owned by Denmark-based NKT (www.nkt.dk) and part of the NKT Photonics Group, a complementary set of companies with technological foundation in fiber-based opto-technology, semiconductor technology and micro-technology.

Laser Expo 2010
Laser Expo 2010 will be held from April 21-23, 2010, in Yokohama, Japan. Sponsored by the Laser Society of Japan, LASER EXPO is a trade show covering laser applications and technologies. Vytran’s products will be featured at its distributor OPTO Science, Inc.’s booth.

CREOL Industrial Affiliates Day 2010
CREOL, The College of Optics and Photonics at the University of Central Florida, Orlando, will hold its annual Industrial Affiliates day, “Optics at the Limit,” on April 9, 2010. Vytran will feature its GPX-3000 series of glass processors and LDC-200-G fiber cleaver at a tabletop exhibit in the CREOL lobby/alumni center.

SPIE Defense, Security + Sensing (DSS)
Slated for April 6-8, 2010, in Orlando, Florida, SPIE’s DSS exhibition will focus on defense, security, sensing, robotic and environmental technologies. At booth #436, Vytran will show its GPX-3000 series of glass processors and LDC-200-G fiber cleaver. Dr. Baishi Wang, Vytran director of technology, will also present a paper, “Technologies of fiber fusion and fused device fabrication for fiber sensing applications,” in conference 7677 on Thursday, April 8 at 11:20 am.
